Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Srinagar.
Arrive Srinagar, where you will be met upon arrival and transferred to your deluxe houseboat. This afternoon enjoy a shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting Char Chinar, floating vegetable gardens etc, and see demonstrations walnut woodcarving and paper mache making. Evening free for shopping for Kashmiri handicrafts, carpets, shawls etc. Overnight at the Deluxe House Boat.
Srinagar View
Day 2
In Srinagar excursion to Sonamarg (83 kms/ 2 hrs)
Today after breakfast go on a full day excursion to Sonamarg or Meadow of Gold. Sonamarg lies in the enchanting Sindh Valley surrounded by mountains and meadows full of flowers. Trout and Mahseer fishing is popular here. Return to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight at the Deluxe House Boat.
Day 3
In Srinagar on to Gulmarg (60kms/2hrs).
Today after breakfast enjoy a picturesque drive to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, 2730 mts above sea level Gulmarg offers spectacular views of snow capped mountain peaks, conifer forests and green meadows; it is home to the highest 18 hole golf course of the world. Enjoy a FREE Gondola ride to Kangpori for a breathtaking view of Nanga Parbat or take a short trek up to Khilanmarg and enjoy an optional sledge ride on the snow –covered slopes. Arrive Gulmarg and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4
In Gulmarg onto Pahalgam (160 kms/ approx 4 hrs)
Today after an early breakfast leave for Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds via Srinagar. Drive through saffron fields; visit Awantipura ruins of an 1100 yr old temple of Lord Vishnu. Drive through the Pine forest and along the Lidder River. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
In Pahalgam
Today after Breakfast, day free to explore Pahalgam on your own or take an optional visit to Chandanwari or Aru for a magnificent view of Lidder Valley. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6
In Pahalgam onto Srinagar (94kms/03hrs).
Today after breakfast, depart for Srinagar by road Srinagar. Arrive and transfer to houseboat After lunch, visit the famous Moghul Gardens Nishat Bagh, Abode of Pleasure on the shore of the Dal lake Shalimar Abode of Love built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan.Eroute, visit a carpet weaving factory and Shankracharya Temple. Rest of the day free for shopping. Overnight at the Deluxe House Boat.
Day 7
Return home with happy memories.
Today after breakfast, transfer to Srinagar airport.
