Ooty is one of India’s most popular hill resorts, located at 2240 metres above sea level in the Niligiri Hills of southern India.

And, of course, the village of the Todas, where one can strike a bargain to get chunky silver jewellery. From Ooty, one can visit Coonoor, or for those given to adventure, a visit to the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary will be recommended.
