5. Golconda Fort : Golconda Fort is famous for diamond mines that have given  Kohinoor and Darya-i-noor diamonds. The ancient fort complex of Golconda brims with exciting legends and anecdotes. Its majestic structure is believed to have started in 1143 as a mud fort, during the Kakatiya Dynasty. Today, the fort stands on a 400 feet hill, and exude ancient aura. The fort complex is made of four separate forts surrounded by an outer wall with a perimeter is 10 km. Plan your trip to the Golconda Fort in such a way that you do not miss the Light and Sound Show that commences at 7 pm during the summers and 6 pm during the winters.
