ITINERARY :

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Welcome to Delhi, the Grand capital city. On arrival at the Delhi airport or Delhi railway station, you will be transferred to the hotel for check in. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a City tour of Old Delhi, where you will visit the Red Fort, built when Shah Jehan shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi, then drive through the bustling Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia. Later visit the memorials of Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2: In Delhi
Enjoy an afternoon tour of the Akshardham Temple and explore its architectural wonders, also visit Akshardham Temple Complex and explore an amazing world of Indian culture ornate with 20, 000 statues, floral motifs, arches and exquisitely carved pillars. Besides the Swaminarayan temple, the complex consists of the main monument, exhibition halls, an IMAX theatre and a musical fountain, surrounded by a garden. Tour the theme halls exhibiting pictures depicting legends and stories that glorify non – violence and vegetarianism at the temple complex. Note: Akshardham Temple is closed on Monday. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 3: In Delhi
Today enjoy a city tour of New Delhi. Visit Humayun’s tomb, a masterpiece of perfect proportions. Also visit the imposing India Gate, the parliament buildings and the Rastrapati Bhavan on the way to Qutub Minar, the astonishing victory tower built in the early 13th century. Adjacent to it is the famous Iron Pillar that has not rusted over centuries and still conjures up mysterious explanations. It is believed that if a person standing with his back touching the pillar, is able to join both his hands encircling the pillar, his wishes will come true. Later drive to the Bahai temple or the Lotus temple. In the evening, witness the ‘Son – et – Lumiere’, a dramatic interplay of sound and light effects, recreating the history of Red Fort, a symbol of Mughal Power. Note: Red Fort is closed on Monday, therefore no Sound & Light Show. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 4: Depart Delhi
Today, depart ‘ Delhi Delights’ tour, and you will be transferred to Delhi airport / railway station for your onward journey.
