Air India DESH – VIDESH OFFER 2012

Air India Introduces the Desh – Videsh Offer.

Validity: The offer is valid from 20th July, 2012 to 30th September, 2012.

Applicability & Award:

(a) Passengers who travel on Air India Domestic network during the validity period (20th July 2012- 30th September, 2012) for a value of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Total face value of the ticket including all Taxes) and above would be eligible for 1 Economy class return international ticket (YQ and Taxes to be borne by the passenger) on any of the sectors operated by Air India.

(b) Passengers who travel on Air India Domestic network during the validity period (20th July 2012- 30th September, 2012) for a value of Rs. 1,50,000/- (Total face value of the ticket including all Taxes) and above would be eligible for 1 Economy class return international ticket (only Taxes to be borne by the passenger) on any of the sectors operated by Air India.

(c) Passengers who travel on Air India Domestic network during the validity period (20th July 2012- 30th September, 2012) for a value of Rs. 2,25,000/- (Total face value of the ticket including all Taxes) and above would be eligible for 1 Business Class return international ticket (YQ and Taxes to be borne by the passenger) on any of the sectors operated by Air India.

(d) Passengers who travel on Air India Domestic network during the validity period (20th July 2012- 30th September, 2012) for a value of Rs. 3,00,000/- (Total face value of the ticket including all Taxes) and above would be eligible for 1 Business Class return international ticket (Only Taxes to be borne by the passenger) on any of the sectors operated by Air India.

(e) The scheme is applicable for all travel on domestic sectors and against INR fare only.

Redemption:

The claim for Award tickets should be made by 31st October 2012. The Award tickets would be valid for a period of six months from the date of issue and the return journey would have to be completed within the validity period.
Blackout periods for the utilization of the free tickets will be applicable. Blackout periods would vary from sector to sector.

Modalities:

1) Documents to be submitted – Passenger would be required to present a photocopy of the ticket and the original Boarding cards (having airport security stamp) of the domestic travel undertaken between 20th July 2012 and 30th September 2012, to the nearest Air India Reservation Office, together with the ‘Desh Videsh’ form duly filled giving details of travel and fare for each sector traveled. The Desh-Videsh form will also be uploaded on our website for downloading and use by our esteemed passengers.

2) The Authority letter for issuance of Award tickets, would be issued only up to 31st October 2012. The Award tickets would be issued at the same station where the authority letter has been issued.

3) The Award ticket could be availed by the Passenger or his family members consisting of Spouse, Children and Parents.

4) No requests would be entertained for change of name/sectors once an authority letter is issued.

5) Any Award ticket requested for child passenger will be deemed as one normal ticket.

6) Issuance of authority letter should be done at the earliest and in no case later than a week after the submission of all documents by the passenger.

7) Original documents are to be submitted to Air India. Should the passenger choose to send the documents by mail/courier etc. and the documents are lost in transit, the passenger will forfeit his/her right to obtain the Award ticket under this scheme.

8) Value once converted would not be considered for the next ticket e.g. If a passenger has used ticket value worth Rs. 1,00,000/- to get one Award ticket issued, after accumulation of another 50,000/- of ticket value, he cannot ask for re-issuance of two Award tickets against a total amount of Rs. 1,50,000/-

9) Award tickets issued under FFP/Companion Free Scheme/AI-AMEX Co Brand card and Corporate House Scheme will not qualify for the scheme.

10) Tickets issued and qualifying for any other scheme under which FOC tickets are offered shall not be considered for this scheme.

11) Wherever, the boarding cards are required for FFP enrolment, the original are to be retained for Desh Videsh scheme and the photocopy with necessary endorsement is to be forwarded to MSC.
