Early in the morning drive to Rajkot. On arrival check-in, the hotel and relax for some time. Later visit Kaba Gandhi, No Delo, the words Kaba Gandhi No Delo literally means 'Kaba Gandhi's residence'. Bapu stayed here in Rajkot during his early years of life. It has now been converted into a museum called Gandhi Smriti. Then proceed to Gandhiji's School, Rashtriya Shala. You may also visit Ranjit Vilas Palace; the Palace has a grand architectural finesse. The front and back facades are appropriately designed in response to its location.
Palace has a memorable collection of swords, shields and daggers, 95 species of stuffed animals, duelling pistols, pig-sticking spears, silver, linen chests, silver-plated howdahs, thrones, paintings and portraits. The palace has magnificent spiralling marble staircase, stained glass galleries, chandeliers and period furniture. The garage, on the grounds of the palace complex, has Vintage cars like the 1921 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, some imposing American cars and horse-drawn carriages. The palace also has a stable of Kathiawadi horses. There are large grounds with beautiful Italianate fountains. In the evening go for shopping at Bangui Bazaar, the market in the old part of the city is a maze of narrow alleyways, lanes and cul-de-sacs. Shopfronts and fort paths displaying a vast array of embroidered fabrics, beadwork, bandhani and readymade flow in profusion to the colourful riot of Bangles in every shape, form and colour. Overnight stay at the hotel.After Breakfast check out the hotel and proceed to Gondal. On arrival check-in, the hotel and relax for some time. Later visit Riverside Palace, built in the 1800s as the residence of the Yuvraj of Gondal princely state. The Riverside Palace is now a heritage hotel owned and run by his descendants. It is located at the edge of the Gondola River; built-in colonial style of architecture, amidst a garden with huge trees after, visit Jetpur, known for its screen and block printing workshops, and a yam-dyeing centre, and then to Junagadh where you can see gem-encrusted carpets, wardrobes and tapestry of the Nawab at the museums. Explore the 3rd century BC Buddhist relics, medieval fort, mausoleum complexes, palaces etc. After sightseeing return back to the hotel. The evening is at leisure for your individual activities.
