| Railway Points are only awarded for full-fare tickets and are not awarded on concessional tickets or transactions involving vouchers |

| You must be one of the passengers on the ticket to earn Railway Points. Also, Railway Points will be awarded only on your individual fare |

| Railway Points shall accrue to your account 5 days after the date of your journey, provided your ticket has not been cancelled |

| First Year Membership Fee – Rs.500; Annual Renewal Fee – Rs.300 (taxes & transaction charges extra, as applicable) |

How to earn Railways reward Points
Earning Railway Points is very simply as shown in the Points Chart given below.

| Railway Points will always be rounded off to the lower integer | |
| While redeeming the Railway Points for FREE Railway tickets, each Railway Point will be equivalent to Re. 1/- of your ticket fare |
|
| Railway Points will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of member’s registration. |
How to redeem Railways points
| To redeem your Railway Points, log onto www.irctc.co.in with your own login details (username and password) |

| Choose the option to pay through Railway Points for your CONFIRMED 1st AC, AC II Tier, AC Chair Car or Executive Chair Car tickets at the payment gateway |
|
| It is mandatory for you to be one of the passengers on the ticket to redeem your Railway Points |

| You can start redeeming Railway Points once you have a minimum of 500 Railway Points in your account earned through transactions at www.irctc.co.in only |

| You may redeem Railway Points in multiples of Re. 1 | ||
| Redemption can be made only against the total ticket fare, inclusive of IRCTC service charges. You cannot redeem Railway Points for individual fares |

| Cancellation of a Redeemed Ticket |
| If you cancel a redeemed ticket before the date of journey, you forfeit 50% of the Railway Points, over and above the existing cancellation charges as per the Indian Railway Commercial Rule. Remaining Railway Points will be credited back to your account |

| On cancellation of redeemed tickets, only Railway Points would be credited back and not cash | |
| You can cancel a redeemed i-ticket only at physical counters (PRS). However, if you are holding an e-ticket, you can cancel it online at www.irctc.co.in |

I have an IRCTC account which is locked second time.
When i tried to reset the password through forget password link, it asks User id, question and Answer. I provided all the details and it throws an error “Answer is Incorrect”. This happend second time and both the times i tried to login through the actual password.
I waited for a week and there was no response from IRCTC customer care. I called them up on 24 Hrs. Customer Support at 011-23340000 and it took about 12 calls to make them understand about the issue. When ever i called up the customer support the person attnding the call will redirect me to someone else after listening to my detail and again i need to explain whole story, inshort that was waste of time and money.
I sent an email at care@irctc.co.in also submit at http://www.consumercourt.in/railways/14030-irctc-login.html and got an automated email as Ticket Confirmation for the request.
IRCTC should hire service and satisfaction oriented support executives so that it a common man has no pain of wasting time and money.

As i am having a SBI Railway card, could you please advise me how to register the Shubh yatra Passenger details, there is no provision in the irctc website. Already i am having a account in irctc website. Could you please help
