Idukki does not have any railway station and the nearest railway station from here is Kottayam which is about 130 km away. It has connectivity to all the major cities of Kerala and the other important cities.
Idukki is connected very well as six state highways pass through it and National Highway 49 connects Cochin, Madura and Rameswaram. Bus services are also available from Cochin to Idukki. Taxis from Kerala Taxi services is also a good option.
