Day - 1 - Arrive Chennai

Upon arrival at Chennai transfer to your hotel. Afternoon proceeds on a sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Kapaleshwar Temple, Fort St. George and the Government Museum. The rest of the evening is at leisure OR optionally you may visit 'Dakshinchitra'. Overnight at the hotel.

Day - 2 - Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram (65 km / 1-2 hrs)

Today proceed on an excursion to famous Shore Temples of Mahabalipuram, most outstanding examples of Dravidian art and architecture later visit famous Kailashnatha temple at Kanchipuram, overnight at the hotel.

Day - 3 - Mahabalipuram

Full day at leisure to relax in your resort or on the beaches of Mahabalipuram, overnight at the hotel

Day - 4 - Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (132 km / 3-4 hrs)

Today you will drive to Pondicherry, capital of the French colonies in India since the 17th century. This afternoon visit Aurobindo Ashram, a seat of learning and Vedic cultures since ancient times, proceed to Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, noted for its Gothic architecture and stained glass panels, lastly you will visit Auroville, planned city of Dawn of the new world. Overnight at the hotel.

Day - 5 - Pondicherry – Tanjore – Trichy (210 km / 4-5 hs)

Proceed to Trichy by road en route visiting world-famous Brihadeshwara Temple at Tanjore. This afternoon you will visit the famous Rock Fort, which is a landmark of Trichy lastly visit Srirangam Island, a living example of the ancient temple towns of the south. Overnight at the hotel.

Day - 6 - Trichy – Madurai (142 km / 3-4 hrs)

This morning you will drive to Madurai, Southern India's oldest city with a recorded history going back to the 6th century B.C. This afternoon you will visit the ruins of the Tirumal Nayak Palace and world-famous Meenakshi Temple, the most perfect example of Dravidian architecture. Later this evening you may revisit the Temple for the evening Aarti ceremony. Overnight at the hotel.

Day - 7 - Madurai

Day at leisure OR you may take an optional full-day excursion to Rameshwaram. Overnight at the hotel.

Day - 8 - Depart Madurai

Transfer to the airport/railway station.
